Meet the team

Katie Raithby-Veall

Head of Consultancy

Katie is a creative, adaptable and can-do strategic leader with a wide breadth of experience in Strategic Leadership, Management and Inclusion.

As a strategic leader, she delivers clarity in chaos, through human-centred curiosity, generous challenge and creativity. A lover of a well thought through strategic plan, she also knows that they need to be delivered with realism and pragmatism, so incorporates these into her programmes and client relationships.

Katie joined Human Alchemy following 16 years exemplary service in the RAF as a Personnel Officer, working across the UK on front line operating bases and at Headquarters.  She has extensive experience in leading and managing large teams across varied portfolios, including personnel and performance management, career development, Executive support, infrastructure, assurance and welfare.

For well over a decade she has supported improved lived experiences in the workplace for people at all levels, as a passionate advocate for Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging.  She was the Head of the RAF Diversity and Inclusion team for 2 years, authoring top level organisational policy and strategy, leading benchmarking and engagement activities, delivering training and enabling myriad employee network groups, allies and voluntary ambassadors. Measuring the effect of initiatives over the longer term was of particular interest, underpinning these with a strategic governance structure and robust mechanisms for holding the organisation to account.

She enjoys making sure theory and best practice are made relatable and pragmatic so leaders at all levels of an organisation can understand and embrace them.  She takes immense satisfaction from nurturing potential in people she works with, utilising her empathetic, personable style to identify their needs holistically.

Katie is known for being someone who fosters genuinely supportive relationships through authentic interactions and understanding. Agile at problem solving through critical thinking and sound judgment, she thrives on gaining new insights and knowledge to inform the impact and value she can provide to others.
